The International Conference DAMDID-2026 will be held in Nizhny Novgorod. 

Founded in 1221 as a fortress, Nizhny Novgorod is one of Russia’s oldest and most beautiful cities, often called its «third capital». For centuries, it was a major trade hub, famous for the great Nizhny Novgorod Fair.

Its heart is the majestic Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin, a UNESCO-listed fortress with ancient walls and breathtaking views of the confluence of two great rivers: the Volga and the Oka. From the Kremlin, you can descend the famous Chkalov Staircase, the longest in Russia, to the picturesque River Station.

The city is the birthplace of writer Maxim Gorky, and you can feel its rich cultural heritage strolling along the historic Pokrovka Street (Bolshaya Pokrovskaya) – a vibrant pedestrian avenue lined with merchant mansions, theaters, and cafes.

All scientific events will take place in the buildings of Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod (UNN).

The university campus is located in the central part of Nizhny Novgorod at 23 Gagarin Avenue, at the «Lobachevsky University» (остановка «Университет им. Лобачевского») public transport stop.

The conference organizing committee is located in the 2nd building of UNN, room 223.

Information for Non-Local Participants

Non-local participants are advised to independently book accommodation in one of the hotels in Nizhny Novgorod. Within walking distance (5 min.) from the conference venue are:

  • «Shato City» Hotel is located near Lobachevsky University on Barminskaya Street
  • «Akvarel» Hotel (отель «Акварель») is located near Lobachevsky University next to Lyadova Square
  • «Hampton by Hilton Nizhny Novgorod» is located in the city center. From the hotel, you can easily reach the main city attractions – the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin, Verkhnevolzhskaya Embankment, Minin Square, and others
  • «Marins Park Hotel Nizhny Novgorod» («Маринс Парк Отель Нижний Новгород») is located close to the railway station. Convenient transport connections will allow you to easily reach the conference venue

Travel Information

From Nizhny Novgorod Railway Station (stop «Revolution Square», остановка «Площадь Революции»):

  • Route: by buses No. 26, 43, 80, or minibus No. т3 to the stop «Lobachevsky University».

From Strigino Airport (with transfers):

  • Route: by bus No. 56 to the stop «Metro Zarechnaya» («Метро Заречная»), then transfer to minibus No. т81 to the stop «Lobachevsky University» or by another way.
